Helping Hand Niche World Tour - Ecotourism

Helping Hand Niche World Tour

Ecotourism

This niche tour is a series of tours that goes around the world to help those in need.
From stopping hunger, supporting clean clothes, bringing medicine, digging wells and providing live stock, and to educate about proper nutrition.

GIVE YOUR SUPPORT

Working along side with TEAM Chad missionary Scott Downing has been drilling wells all around Africa, including Chad for three years.
Across the globe, 795 million people in the world do not have enough food to lead a healthy active life. That's about one in nine people on earth. The vast majority of the world's hungry people live in developing countries, where 12.9 percent of the population is undernourished. In these countries, the population are in need of medicine and clean clothes.
Our mission is to help countries all around the world to provide better living. We seek to educate proper nutrition and provide a helping hand to get them started. With 2 doctors on our team, supporting people who are sick. It is advised to not bring medication for non-self use, due to traveling laws. Our team will cover the medicine transports. In this tour we will visit...

CHAD
In Chad, continuous drought and unpredictable rains mean that harvests routinely fail. The country is located in a region called the Sahel, which has struggled with a hunger crisis for years. Around a third of the population is chronically malnourished and 40% of children under 5 are stunted (prevent from growing or developing properly). Conflict in the region has caused hundreds of thousands of refugees from Nigeria, Central African Republic, and Sudan to enter Chad — all of whom need emergency food assistance. Here our doctors will help treat the people the best they can. Working along side with TEAM, we will drill wells and provide livestock.

Timor-Leste
The small island nation of Timor-Leste is one of Asia’s poorest countries. One in every two children suffers from stunting (prevent from growing or developing properly). At it simplest, stunting means low height for a child’s age, but it reflects a long period without adequate nutrition, which often impacts a child’s cognitive development as well.  While it has made significant improvements in economic and human development. At the same time, while hunger in Timor-Leste has decreased, rates of malnutrition and stunting are still the highest in Asia. So our efforts while in Timor-Leste, we will feed the hunger. But our major goal is to educate proper nutrition and local disease and how to prevent it in the future.

HAITI
Haiti has the highest level of hunger in the Western Hemisphere. The island nation has suffered from a destructive combination of political instability and natural disasters such as hurricanes, floods, and earthquakes. More than half the population lives on less than $2 a day, and severe environmental degradation has limited food production. While in Haiti, we will provide medicine, live stock, food, clothes, and in big efforts. Working together with Water For Life Haiti, we will drill wells to provide clean water.

Lets GO!

Our team will start our journey in Chad, Africa! For 10 days. Introduce yourself.
Our team will be transported to a local village in need by truck. At our destination, TEAM Chad and the leader of the village welcome you! Our mission here is to work along side TEAM Chad and to drill a well for this community. Our team will also provide a brief course on proper nutrition and we will leave them with livestock, clothes, a meal, a new well, and knowledge. After words, we will fly to Timor-Leste by plane.
Arriving in Timor-Leste for 3 days, we will meet up with our guide/translator and be taken by truck to another village in need of help. Timor-Leste has been showing development in getting their hunger in check, but they lack knowledge on how proper nutrition. Our team will work together and teach the local people on proper nutrition and diseases. Our doctors will also aim to treat anyone in need. Another part of our team will distribute food and we will leave them with a parting gift of livestock, that was previously organized with our guide/translator. After we would fly to Haiti.
Arriving in Haiti for 10 days, our team will meet up with Water For Life Haiti group and we will go by truck to another in need community. While in Haiti, we will provide medicine, live stock, food, clothes, and in big efforts. Working together with Water For Life Haiti, we will drill wells to provide clean water.
After all of our efforts and group bonding, we hope to see you next year to help more countries in need.

Special Thanks to

For $7,000.00 USD we will provide transportation, food, and sleeping accommodations, and a journey you will never forget.

Bandung, Indonesia Insider

Bandung, Indonesia Insider

If you find yourself in Bandung Indonesia make sure to check out these destinations.
In this guide you can learn more about what hotels to stay at, where to eat, what activities are there, and how to get around.
If you haven't already booked your flight to this amazing destination, you can book with several different airlines. EVA Air, ANA Air, Singapore Airlines, Korean Air, and Delta.
In my personal opinion flying with Delta was not the most comfortable method, as some of Delta's air crafts could be older models with lacking amenities on board. Versus flying with ANA, which really makes your money feel worth. ANA provides amazing services and their staff really takes care of you. Their food is better quality and more delicious. Plus their amenities and technologies are up to date.
If you are visiting from somewhere more local on Java Indonesia OR trying to get around, you can take the train. Where it connects all the major cities. The trains are cheap, comfortable and air-conditioned, the ideal way to get around. On the other hand, there are buses that can also take you around and they come more frequently than the trains. The downside is that traffic is crazy. If you are from the States where traffic is moderate or organized. This could be a nightmare.

ANA -Lineup of the Highest Ranking Menus from the In-Flight Meal General Election

Are you looking for a hotel? There is amazing selection of beautiful and affordable hotels. Some of our favorite hotels are 'The Trans Luxury Hotel Bandung', 'Crowne Plaza', and 'Padma Hotel Bandung'. All providing amazing scenery, amenities, delicious foods, and more.

The Trans Luxury Hotel Bandung - $89 USD

Crowne Plaza Suite - $120 USD

Padma Hotel Bandung - $84 USD

Even though you could spend your whole vacation at the hotel, there is more to see, eat, and do in Bandung. Some of these activities could be just right outside. For example The Trans Luxury Hotel connects to The Trans Studio Mall and inside the mall is an indoor amusement park for under $20 USD! For the strong Muslim community there is a Trans Studio Mosque connected too. That mimics the mosque in Medina in Saudi Arabia. Which is a whole attraction itself.

If your are someone that is naturally attracted to malls and shopping. Paris Van Java Mall (PVJ) is an amazing place to visit. PVJ will amaze anyone with their exotic architecture. PVJ will allow you to experience a Cinema with Queen sized beds and dining tables. You can also find karaoke, delicious foods, luxury brands, and even some unique attractions like a small petting farm on the roof, a mini zoo, a flower garden, even an ice skating rink. That is a lot to take in and explore, but don't worry, you can rent a segway to tour your way around the mall.

Are you wanting to continue your shopping spree, there is a famous floating market in Bandung you must check out. You can walk or rent a variety of small boats, that you can paddle your way to floating shops. All serving traditional foods and various other goods. Sounds like fun! Just don't tip over.

Wanting to experiencing some sub cultures in Bandung, there is a Bandung Chinatown. Like other Chinatown's you can experience Chinese attractions, traditions, and Chinese culinary. All while being surrounded by stunning traditional Chinese architecture. If you like taking pictures for Instagram or Facebook, here is an amazing spot!

Seeking Indonesian culture, there is a very popular traditional music orchestra with dancing, traditional puppets, and much more. By the Bamboo Performance Bandung.
If you are someone that is interested in exploring outdoors. There is Kawah Putih, about 50 kilometers south of Bandung. It is a crater lake in Mount Patuha. Depending on traffic, it would take about 2 hours to get there.

With all this adventuring, you are probably looking for a bite to eat. Lucky for you Bandung is a very culinary driven city. The competition is very intense, but here are some of our favorites. Our top favorite eating establishment is more of a personal favorite. That it is our own restaurant. Ampera Suci, is traditional Sudanese cuisine,  all halal.

Maybe you are a huge sushi lover or just in the mood for some delicious Japanese food. Go to Sushi Tei, a relaxed Japanese eatery serving cooked fare & creative sushi rolls, plus beer, wine & sake.

Wanting to go some where with some great views, a good option is Lawangwangi creative space.

Another great spot for amazing scenery is Pinisi resto. A pirate ship, but on land?! Great for taking pictures!
Lastly on our list of eating establishments, Dusun bambu. Dusun Bambu Family Leisure Park becomes a park in the mountain feet that provide education and recreation facilities. Dusun Bambu Family Leisure Park is an eco-tourism spot. And they value the conception of &E the represents seven aspect of life: Ecology (nature), Education, Economic, Ethology (culture), Ethics, Esthetics (Aesthetics), and Entertainment. Dusun Bambu Family Leisure Park is offers a park in at Mt. Burangrang's feet that provides education and recreation of service.
