The
Wonderful of Bali, Indonesia
Bali
is the island of thousand temples. With its diverse landscape of hills and
mountains, rugged coastlines and sandy beaches, lush rice terraces and barren
volcanic hillsides all providing a picturesque backdrop to its colorful, deeply
spiritual and unique culture, stakes a serious claim to be paradise on earth.
With world-class surfing and diving, a large number of cultural, historical and
archaeological attractions, and an enormous range of accommodations, this is
one of the world's most popular island destinations and one which consistently
wins travel awards. Bali has something to offer a very broad market of visitors
from young back-packers right through to the super-rich.
One
more interesting from Bali is “Nyepi” (Silence day) this is the New Year days
of Balinese people. On Nyepi day every street is quiet - there are nobody doing
their normal daily activities, light is kept to a minimum or not at all, the
radio or TV is turned down and, of course, no one works, no transportation,
airport/harbor closed, nobody can out from house or hotel except “Pecalang” (the
traditional police in Bali). Pecalang will control the security of the street
and also to stop any activities that disturb Nyepi. Nyepi day is once a year on
31 March, check this day on your calendar before you travel to Bali, Indonesia.
