A fan of tacos? Love the spice from the south? Take your taste buds on a journey through authentic Mexican cuisine. As you travel from city to city on your guided tour you’ll discover traditional dishes, harvest from local farms, and cook with culinary experts to create fresh, true Mexican food. Reel in fresh fish for ceviche with local fisherman, grind your own corn at the mill to make fresh tortillas, and take home a recipe for the best mole sauce. Side by side with your chef and your friends, you’ll discover Mexican history, culture, and mouth-watering flavors.
Immerse yourself in the culture, and learn from locals what delicious dishes natives have cooked for their families for generations. Understand and participate in traditional preparation and harvesting processes. Interact with locals as you wander through colorful markets and discover uniquely exotic foods and flavors. You will truly discover how people live on a daily basis, a welcome insight to their tables at home. In between cooking sessions, you can travel to historical ruins and delight in local festivals, absorbing both the past and present of this gorgeous culture.

Starting in Puebla, visitors will arrive to Mexico City by airline of choice. After arriving to the resort, car and/or mini-buses will be provided for each day for tour travel from city to city. Local transportation like buses, and taxis (recommended) can be used for solo day adventures.

This 5 day tour is fully guided, with transportation included. Solo day adventures are encouraged. Below is the tour itinerary and travel map:
Day One: Dinner with the Chef at Puebla Resort
Start off the trip right in the kitchen! Stop by a local farm with the chef to collect eggs and meat. Learn to make your first Mexican meal, and sit down to dinner in the gorgeous mountain setting.
Day Two: Market Stroll in Mexico City
Meander the local markets for tonight’s dinner ingredients. Learn about different spices from the chef. Chat with locals to learn the language.
Back at the resort, learn to make an authentic local dish. Dig in!
Day Three: Learn the Art of Making the Tortilla
Road trip to a corn mill site in Oaxaca. Grind your own corn and learn how to make tortillas from scratch. Stop in town for some street food, taste test some native comfort quick food.
Day Four: Head to the Coast for Some Fishing
Get out early for the catch of the day with local fisherman. Learn to make pescada or ceviche on the beach!
Day Five: Tequila! And Final Dinner
Tour an agave farm and distillery. Taste test tequila with experts.
Enjoy making (and eating) yet another delectable, authentic Mexican dish before heading home.
